CHRISTAFARI IN BRAZIL (by Mark Mohr)

Sep. 11, 2005 - Dear Friends, God has been doing tremendous things in our lives since our last update. We just returned from an amazing tour of Brazil were we found our most devoted fan-base on earth! Despite the handful of airline drama, (including the 48 hours of traveling that it took to get us out there), this was probably one of our best tours yet. When the main festival that we were scheduled for in Rio de Janeiro was cancelled at the last minute, we managed to pull together a free Christafari concert for the people in less than two hours. This was quite a challenge, especially since none of us speak Portuguese. However, the concert turned out great and many were saved that night!

From Rio we flew to Sao Paulo, one of the most populated cities in the world. There is a massive revival going on in this Brazilian city right now and it was awesome to be a part of it. In Sao Paulo we were scheduled to perform at Bola De Neve, a reggae church full of surfers and skaters! Our band attended their Sunday night service and without any notice, they asked me to give a 45-minute sermon before 3,000 people! The evening turned out well (thankfully I had plenty of experience giving messages from The Gathering in Trinidad). The next night we played a powerful two-hour set before a packed house. This was our most enthusiastic audience to date. Many accepted Jesus as their Lord that night. We are already planning to return to Brazil this fall.
Blessings in Christ,

Mark Mohr
